If I convert a lossless format (.ape, .shn, .flac) to .mp3 (~192kb VBR), will I suffer any more loss than had I converted a .wav file to .mp3? I know that .mp3 is already inferior quality, but that being aside, just wondering if I would incur any GREATER loss if I did this with the 3 lossless formats above (as opposed to doing this with a .wav file). Oh, and I plan to use this method only for personal use, not for sharing.

Result will be the same, because lossless formats are only compressed wav (like zip or rar), so you will have same source as with wav.
