Now we can talk about Santiago 2004. Is it mp3 sourced or not. |

thanks bobo.
well about santiago 2004, i received mine from rodrigo (from chile) and he told us he recorded his version from fm. in fact i see a radio-like peak in 19 khz. it seems to me an md recording (lp mode) of a re-broadcast.
cheers! |

I'm moving this conversation to bootlegs forum.
Sao Paulo broadcast
Santiago broadcast
There is a peak at 19 kHz but it is removed by compression (MD). If he said he recorded it and you belive him then we must accept this version as it is. It would be better if he recorded directly to his computer though.
Here is example of Vansmack's LA bootlegs. It looks like mp3, but of course it's not. Why would taper convert it to mp3 and then back to CD.

| That is some wild shit. I have never done any sort of Frequency Analysis on any of my shows. I have heard many people talking about it. |

| Because why would anyone go through whole process of mail trade if you can download mp3 bootleg from the internet. Even with the slowest dail-up connection it wouldn't be a problem. |
