| so buying bootlegs is illegal, and so is recording and trading them, right? if so then why doesn't anyone complain when you go to for example iron maiden bb and post a link to where you can download bootleg, but you get banned if you post a link to a page where you can download an official release |

Bootleging is in a gray area. If you are selling something you are making money from something you don't own or have copyrights. Trade is different because you are not making money out of it and copyright owner doesn't care too much about. Of course they can sue you (Me$$$$$$ca might do it in the future  ) and you can't afford top lawyers.
IM BB has trading forum and that means they are ok with that. |

despite that people sell bootlegs. I understand why they sell but i will never understand why anybody would ever buy a show. It's not worth it and the chances are that as a beginner you buy a very common gig which later on you will have a chance to get easily.
