Start >> Control Panel >>> Add Remove Programs
Make sure the show updates box at the top is ticked
Then scroll down to the bottom
Windows XP software updates.....
You need to uninstal one called.........
Security update for Windows XP KB951748 installed on the date you installed it...
Then restart PC
Failing that do a system restore...
Start >>> All Programs >>> Accessories >>> System Tools >>> System Restore
Windoze would have created a restore point when it was installed...
......Called Software distribution service 3.0
Then re-do the update but untick Security update for Windows XP KB951748
Obviously if ur set to download & install automatically it will keep coming back
Plus you will have that silly yellow warning shield all the time till you
download it.....
When it is safe you should find out....
I will post here when it is |
